By downloading and using the Zum Ride Pvt. Ltd. ("Zum") mobile application ("App"), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Account Registration
1.1 Users are required to log in to the Zum App using a valid phone number and email address.
1.2 A verification PIN will be sent via SMS to validate the phone number. This PIN must be entered into the App to complete the registration.
1.3 Your email address will be used for online billing and communication purposes.
 

2. Billing
2.1 All bills are printed and stored at the Zum Ride head office.
2.2 Users may collect their physical bills as per mandatory regulatory requirements set by the Inland Revenue Department of Nepal.
 

3. Know Your Customer (KYC)
3.1 Users must complete and accept the KYC process before making any payments or using a cycle.
3.2 The KYC process includes providing a photo and a copy of a government-issued ID (License, Citizenship, Passport, or NID document).
 

4. Usage of Cycles
4.1 Users can unlock cycles from any Zum station and end their ride at any other station within the service area.
4.2 Users can end their ride outside of stations for a fee. The End Ride button allows users to end their ride for a fee, which will always be mentioned within the App.
4.3 Charges are applied based on time, not by distance or usage.
4.4 Zum will send in-app notifications before any user's time is about to expire.
4.5 Users can pre-book any cycle from any station, and the rental time starts from the moment of booking.
4.6 Users can change cycles at any station after checking out of the used cycle. Only one cycle can be booked and active per user at a time.
4.7 Zum will charge three times the normal rate when cycles are operated outside service areas.
 

5. Service Area
5.1 The service area is within the Ring Road of Kathmandu.
5.2 All cycles will have their electric functionality turned off if they move outside the service area or when the purchased minutes are spent. The cycles will then be locked remotely when the cycle speed reaches 0.
 

6. Ending a Ride
6.1 Users can end their ride by docking the cycle at a station and scanning the QR code generated on their phone at the check-out booth of the station.
6.2 Users can end their ride outside of stations for a fee as mentioned within the App.
 

7. Package Expiration
7.1 All purchased packages have a time expiration.
7.2 For example, a 1-hour package will only be valid for 7 days, after which any unused minutes will expire and the balance will drop to 0.
 

8. User Responsibilities
8.1 Users must ensure that their phone number and email address are valid and up to date.
8.2 Users are responsible for any charges incurred during the use of the cycle.
8.3 Users must clear any negative balances before they can book or ride any other cycles.
8.4 Users must report any performance issues of the cycle within the App. Solutions will be communicated, and if no solution is found, the used minutes for that ride will be reinstated.

8.5 Users may not unlock a cycle and lend it to another person for usage.
 

9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Zum Ride Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses that occur during the use of the cycles.
9.2 In the event of accidents, rides are insured by 'Global IME General Insurance', and claim responsibility will fall upon the users. Zum holds no liability for non-payment of claims by third-party insurance. Zum will provide all necessary data to the users required for the insurance claim.
 

10. Amendments
10.1 Zum Ride Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
10.2 Users will be notified of any changes via the App.
 

11. Termination and Blacklisting
11.1 Zum reserves the right to disallow any user from its service.
11.2 Users who actively sabotage a cycle to earn free rides or have prolonged negative balances may be blacklisted.
 

By downloading and using the Zum Ride App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms can change at any given time, and users will be sent an email of new terms and agreement along with effective date.
